Sea Forest Limited, a leader in sustainable agricultural innovation, has appointed John McKillop its non-executive chair.

He brings unparalleled leadership experience in Australia's agricultural sector to Sea Forest, with an extensive history of board positions at influential organisations including Dairy Australia, Meat & Livestock Australia, Dairy Farmers Milk Cooperative and Compass Agribusiness.

His career includes management of some of Australia's largest and most prestigious cattle operations, having served in leadership roles at Stanbroke Pastoral Company and as CEO of both Hancock Agriculture and S.Kidman & Co.

McKillop currently serves as chair of the Red Meat Advisory Council, Regional Livestock Exchange, Manor Estates Holding, Maxsil Fertiliser and innovative agri-tech company BlackBox Co.

This appointment comes as Sea Forest secures its first commercial-scale feedlot supply contract and transition to a more streamlined, independent-led board structure.

Sam Elsom, Sea Forest chief executive says John's appointment represents a tremendous vote of confidence in our vision and technology.

“His deep industry knowledge and leadership will be invaluable as we expand SeaFeed's market presence.

We're extremely pleased with the additional strategic insight his appointment brings to Sea Forest.
