7 Worlds Ag is continuing to expand, adding several more fungicides, insecticides and other crop protection products to its product range in coming months.

In the latest news, the company has obtained registration for Mandiva 250 SC fungicide (mandipropamid) for the control of downy mildew in grapes, lettuce, leafy vegetables and oilseed poppies.

An important tool for resistance management, Mandiva features newer chemistry and nil or one day withholding periods for grapes, lettuce and leafy vegetables.

Chief executive Ben Coombe says new products such as Mandiva are adding greater depth to the company’s portfolio and its role as a specialist crop protection supplier.

“Strengthening our product range means dealers and growers have access to the latest technology they need to protect their horticultural crops and maximise their returns,” Ben adds.

“It reflects our ongoing commitment to research and development, ensuring we offer our customers the best products from around the globe to meet their needs,” he says.

Ben says while 7 Worlds Ag is renowned for the depth of its fungicide range, the company is rapidly expanding its insecticides with the addition of two more products this year – and with more to offer in coming months.

New to the range are Flonicaman (flonicamid), mainly for the control of aphids, mealybug and silver whitefly in fruit and vegetable crops, and SpinoSec 240 SC (spinosad), to manage a host of insect pests in fruit, vegetables, ornamentals and forestry plantations.

“Meanwhile, our third new insecticide for 2025, Iceman, is likely to be registered in a matter of weeks,” Ben says.

Based on the active ingredient, tau-fluvalinate, Iceman is another option for managing insect pests like plague thrips and apple dimpling bug in apples and stone fruit.

It is also valuable in crops like asparagus, tomatoes, cauliflower and ornamentals to manage Helicoverpa and other common pests.

In other developments, Ben says the company is working on a molluscicide in rice and a new knockdown herbicide for use in vegetables such as brassicas, following the ban on Dachtal herbicide in 2024.

“7 Worlds Ag has also acquired the distribution rights for Eptam (EPTC) herbicide which is widely used for pre-emergence control of grass and broadleaf weeds in potatoes and turf weeds,” he says.

“On our agenda is an organic soil fumigant along with more organic insecticides and fungicides. Meanwhile, we are also looking at another form of copper and co-formulation products to expand our copper fungicide range.

“As these developments show, we are committed to strengthening our portfolio with innovative, high-quality products and sustainable solutions for our customers.”
