Queensland Fruit and Vegetable Growers chief executive Rachel Chambers has been appointed as Queensland Food Farmers’ Commissioner.

Under her leadership, QFVG has taken some brave steps forward – from the Year of Horticulture, to the We Give A Fork national campaign and launching HortESG.

Rachel says QFVG is now 102 years strong – “it’s our people who make the organisation what it is, day in and day out”.

QFVG chairman Guiseppe Moro says on behalf of the board, I congratulate Rachel on her appointment.

“She leaves QFVG stronger and more future-focused, and we thank her sincerely for her leadership and wish her every success in this important new role,” he says.
