After 17 years of successful operations in Western Australia, David Grays Aglink is set to exit the Aglink Group on 31December this year and complete a transition across to the strong brand of parent company Delta Agribusiness.

David Grays Aglink became a part of the Delta Group on 1July, 2021 and after a successful first year, the decision has been made to consolidate the leading Western Australian business into the broader national Delta footprint.

David Grays Aglink CEO Warren Stirrat said, “whilst we have chosen to retire the David Grays Aglink brand name, we are immensely proud of our history and core values, and these will continue to be at the heart of our business now that we will be unified under the Delta Agribusiness brand, providing a truly national presence with increased buying power and distribution channel clarity.”

“This transition sees us ceasing our membership with Aglink Australia at the end of the current calendar year (3 December 2022) and we would like to take this opportunity to thank Aglink and recognise the tremendous role the organisation has played over our entire journey. This decision is in no way a negative reflection on Aglink.”

Delta Ag managing director Gerard Hines said, “After integrating the David Grays Aglink business into our group a bit over a year ago, we feel the time is now right to bring the businesses closer together to enable us to position and benefit from our national scale into a more unified structure for the benefit of our retail and wholesale customers.

“This decision has been made by Warren and his team, as they recognise the value opportunities of streamlining our operations to capture further synergies.

“We also feel as a group that we will benefit from further consolidating our strong overall brand and volumes and removing unnecessary channel confusion operating under multiple brands in WA.”

Delta Ag, which operates an inclusive shareholder model – which also comprises the North West Ag and AGRIvision businesses in Victoria and Cox Rural in SA, continues to grow its geographic and earnings diversity.

Mr Hines said the Delta Ag group by provides a good option for other independents who are contemplating succession planning, or desire to be a part of a larger group with better buying power and supply strength, along with focussing on attracting and retaining the best people.
