Elders has this year appointed Alex Greetham as its chief agronomist.
He brings more than 20 years of national and international experience in agronomy and strategic agribusiness to the position.
In this newly created role, Alex will be driving investment in the capabilities of the company’s agronomy and advisory services, providing leadership and support to the Elders national network of more than 200 agronomists and advisers.
Alex was previously head of agronomy and field services at AGnVET where he was a well-regarded leader.
Earlier in his career he has held agronomy positions at HL Hutchinson and Nutri Bio (Anglian Water) in the UK and Turley Farms in New Zealand.
Alex has a Higher National Diploma in Agriculture (UK) focused on farm business management, agronomy and soil science and livestock and cropping enterprises.
He has also spent time working on a series of farms and a sheep operation after completing his studies, cementing his passion for farming and agronomy.
Today as a senior leader with a passion for building and developing teams, Alex will be a real asset to Elders.
