Gallagher has announced the appointment of Graeme Lister to the position of territory Manager – Gold Coast.

Growing up on the family farm near the Central NSW town of Bogan Gate, Mr Lister has always had an affiliation with the rural way of life. After completing study at Orange Ag College, Mr Lister started his rural merchandise career in 1989 with Dalgety Winchcombe FGC in Dubbo.

He then spent several years as merchandise manager in Cobar, before returning to Dubbo. Mr Lister was then offered a position with multinational, Bayer Animal Health, looking after resellers and farmers across Central and Western NSW.

An internal transfer saw the Lister family move to Brisbane to look after a territory covering Southeast Queensland and northern NSW. Another internal change saw a shift to the small animal field where he was focused on the larger independent buying groups and the emergence of the corporate stores in pet retail.

After company restructures and 20 years in the field, Mr Lister went in a new direction, taking a position managing Queensland distribution for one of Australia’s largest pork producers, Rivalea, managing boxed pork through an independent meat wholesaler for supply across the Queensland butcher network.

Mr Lister has now returned to the rural industry with the opportunity to join the Gallagher family.
