Agsafe’s drumMUSTER program, a cornerstone in the effort to ensure the responsible disposal of agricultural chemical containers in Australia, remains robust and accessible nationwide.

With an extensive network of 830 collection sites spread across the country, the program continues to offer farmers and agricultural businesses in every state and territory of Australia a reliable way to dispose of their empty, clean chemical drums.

drumMUSTER, established in 1999, has long been a pivotal initiative in promoting environmental stewardship within the agricultural community.

By providing a structured and convenient system for the disposal of chemical containers, drumMUSTER helps prevent environmental contamination and promotes recycling.

Over the years, the program has collected and recycled millions of drums, significantly reducing waste and contributing to a more sustainable agricultural industry.

In recent times, drumMUSTER has undergone a significant transition in its funding model. Previously, the program operated under a levy system, however, to better align with the evolving needs of the industry and ensure the program's sustainability, drumMUSTER has shifted to a fee-for-service model.

Despite this shift, the core service remains unchanged for end users.

Agricultural chemical users can still drop off their empty and clean chemical drums at any of the 830 drumMUSTER collection sites across Australia.

These sites are strategically located to be accessible to the majority of farmers and agribusinesses, ensuring that the program continues to serve as a convenient and practical solution for drum disposal.

The continuation of the drumMUSTER program under the new fee-for-service model underscores Agsafe's commitment to environmental sustainability and the agricultural sector's dedication to responsible chemical use and disposal.

By adapting to industry changes and maintaining a vast network of collection sites in every state and  visit drumMUSTER.org.au.
