Trial Supplies continues to facilitate the easy access of high-quality trial equipment into the hands of agronomists, researchers and growers who are completing their own research.

Gone are the days of jumping from one store to the next to collect all the ‘bits and pieces’ needed to get the trial underway, says Trial Supplies’ Frankie Wilson.

She said Trial Supplies is excited about its increased offering to the market which helps improve the efficiency of those completing the work.

“We have such a varied but considered range of products developed specifically for the Australian agricultural research market. We are always working in partnership with our customers to assist them achieve their required outcomes as simply as possible.”

This partnership has extended to numerous bespoke offerings in the form of deposition packs, trial ready packs and other customised packages for small and large groups right across Australia. “We love working directly with innovative customers who can see the value our equipment has when placed in the right hands.”

Part of the recent increased product offering has been the introduction of a larger trial peg range, which now includes 1.2, 1.5, 1.8 and 2.0m tall trial pegs, with all these sizes available in an unmissable fluoro pink!

Vikram Ahlawat, agronomy consultant and research co-ordinator at AGRIvision, has been using the new range of Trial Pegs this season. “The new Pink Trial Pegs have been great to include in our trial work. They are much easier to see from a distance and this helps ensure our sites are visible to those working in the field,” he said.

The pigment used in the Trial Supplies trial peg range is sourced locally in Australia, with extreme UV stability and colour fastness which means the plastic-coated fibreglass pegs will not crack or fade over time.

Ms Wilson said another innovative addition to the Trial Supplies offering has been the introduction of TSImages, an in-house custom-built server created to host, share and summarise field images captured remotely.

“We have been trialling our complete field monitoring system for 12 months and are now offering this as standard through the website. In just a few clicks, you can have a 4G outdoor camera with data and access to TSImages.

“All you need to do is turn on the camera and log-in to see your images. Users can then invite other users as guests to view their sites as well as other features available. No more driving three hours to find the weeds are just not big enough to spray yet… or too big!”

Tina Dunn, technical Officer for NSW DPI based at Yanco Agricultural Institute, has been using the Trial Supplies 4G outdoor cameras and says, “they have become an important tool in our AgriFutures Rice project.

“Having to cover all the rice growing areas in southern NSW on a regular basis to monitor rice experiments and commercial fields, these cameras have made it possible to obtain accurate data.

“The cameras provide valuable information on timing of key management practices that will feed into crop phenology models developed and updated in collaboration with the University of New England (UNE).”

“The team at Trial Supplies takes great pride in being able to supply equipment designed and built right here in Australia, that is having such a positive impact on the safety and efficiency for staff at numerous public and private research organisations,” Ms Wilson said.

“Trial Supplies is always happy to partner with groups to streamline their initial and ongoing research equipment needs.”
