Yara has announced Candice Pretorius has been appointed as Australian managing director.

Candice brings more than a decade of experience leading growth, commercialisation and strategic transformation across multiple regions and industries.

She is known for her ability to blend commercial focus with people-centred leadership, and we’re thrilled to have her back with us in Australia.

Candice’s Yara journey began in Africa, where she played a key role in shaping major initiatives including the Africa 2030 stategy, the Microp launch and the Action Africa initiative.

These projects reflect her commitment to building sustainable, impactful solutions in agriculture, alongside strong teams and local partnerships.

Most recently, Candice served as vice president of growth and commercialisation for Yara Africa and Asia, based in Singapore.

This experience strengthened her leadership capability and deepened her understanding of global markets, innovation pathways and channel partnership development.

“I am excited to return to Yara and lead a team that is dedicated to innovation and sustainable growth in agriculture,” Candice says.

“Together, we will strengthen our partnerships with farmers and channel partners, driving forward-thinking solutions which prioritise not just productivity, but the health of our land and communities,” she says.
