Syngenta Australia-New Zealand has announced the appointment of Julian Memoli as product lead, plant health, marking a significant step toward expansion of its crop protection business with a focus on biologicals.
In this strategic role, Julian joins a team led by Garth Wickson, who was recently appointed as head of seed care and plant health for ANZ, having previously launched CALLISTO and REFLEX herbicides.
With more than two decades of industry experience spanning sales, marketing, and R&D, Julian brings a wealth of expertise to the role and will drive Syngenta's ambitious growth plans in the plant health sector.
His appointment underscores the company's commitment to expanding its bio-controls, bio-stimulants and nutrient use efficiency portfolio, delivering innovative solutions to farmers and agronomists.
“His extensive experience and deep understanding of the agricultural sector will be invaluable in developing our offer while delivering innovative solutions to our customers,” Garth says.
Holding a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from Mar del Plata University and a Masters of Administration from Torcuato Di Tella University, Julian’s career has included influential roles at Timac Agro, Elders, and BASF.
Most recently, he served as country manager for Biolchim, further cementing his expertise in the bio-stimulant sector.
This announcement comes at an exciting time in agriculture, as the industry increasingly embraces sustainable solutions for crop enhancement and protection.
